Amanda RussellA Texan transplant, Amanda Russell is currently shivering her way through her senior year at Carnegie Mellon University. She is majoring in Global Studies and French, and a minor in German. Amanda continues to score 99% in her SAT exams, and enjoys focusing on her student’s progress from beginning to end. Although she has an easy smile and an entertaining attitude when it comes to teaching, she also exhibits an equal aggressiveness that motivates her students through the rigors of the exam study process.

She teaches the following at Pittsburgh Prep:

  • SAT
  • SAT Subject Tests (US History, Math 1 & 2)

In her free time, Amanda enjoys dance, movies, reading, hiking, and checking the weather on her phone to see how much warmer it is back in Houston. She has also travelled during her time at CMU, having spent a semester in France while helping Pittsburgh Prep develop its curriculum. Amanda hopes to join the Peace Corps after graduating in 2012, and utilize her skill set honed at Pittsburgh Prep to help the disadvantaged.
