Giancarlo Dozzi

Giancarlo is a Pittsburgh native with a wide variety of teaching experience, from teaching math and science at a private school, to working with gifted students at the late Pennsylvania Governor's Schools, to hours and hours of freelance tutoring of various subjects. He focuses largely on increasing students' confidence and creating an environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking charge of their learning. When it comes to SAT prep, he believes in the importance of understanding fundamental concepts first and foremost, and hopes his students will learn more than just how to take this particular test.

An alumnus of Carnegie Mellon University with high honors, Giancarlo has studied Computer Science, Math, Physics, and Chemistry. He is currently working towards a Master's degree in Teaching and Secondary Mathematics teaching certification at Chatham University, hoping to become an even better instructor.

At home, Giancarlo enjoys spending time with his two beloved cats, Lucca and Bran, and gathering his friends together to play obscure strategy board games. He is looking forward to warmer weather, though, so he can get back to adventuring outdoors and playing lots of disc golf.

Giancarlo teaches the following exams:

  • SAT
  • SAT Subject Tests (Math Level 1 & 2, Physics, Chemistry)
  • AP Exams (Computer Science, Calculus, Physics, Chemistry)
