Kyle Zhu
Kyle came to us with a lot of trepidation. He is known as an ultimate high achiever at his high school - taking 5 AP courses in his Junior year, applying for his Eagle Scout, taking piano lessons, leading his debate team to the national finals, and volunteering at a local community center - he hardly had the time or the motivation to study for his SAT exam.
As a natural "number's guy", even though he scored a solid 2050, he knew he could do better on his Critical Reading and Writing sections. After researching with his mom on available test prep courses in the greater Pittsburgh area, Kyle signed up with Pittsburgh Prep. He liked the fact that all of our instructors scored 99%, and that they too had taken the exam multiple times to achieve their goals.
Over 8 solid weeks of intensive instruction, he was able to gather important information on his weaknesses, attack his deficiencies, and improve upon his skill set to a 230 pt. overall increase. Kyle was able to achieve his goal of scoring in the 99% on his SAT exam, and place himself among the best candidates for college admissions.
Update: Kyle is currently a Sophomore at the prestigious Georgetown University, with intent to major in International Studies.
